Syrian Arab army delivered knockout blows to terrorists on several fronts in the past 72 hours

PROVINCES,(ST)_There has been remarkable achievements recorded by the army units against foreign-backed terrorist groups on several fronts in the past three days.

The first achievement was made on Sunday as the army units and national defense forces restored stability and security to the strategic border town of Kasab- on Turkey border- in the northern countryside of Lattakia in the wake of a series of concentrated operations during which large numbers of terrorists were killed.

Terrorists’ illusions smashed

“This achievement is important because of the geo-strategic location of the town and because it smashes the illusions of terrorists and their supporters about securing a sea port in Samra town or a buffer zone along the border to use as a base for launching terrorist acts against the Syrian people,” the General Command of Army and Armed Forces said in a statement.

Just 24 hours ahead of the recapture of Kasab town by the army unit, the official news agency (SANA) quoted a military source as saying that al-Nab’a area and Samra junction in the northern countryside of Lattakia became under the full control of the army.

Another victory

The army’s victory in the northern countryside of Lattakia was immediately followed by another victory in Homs countryside as the army units flushed terrorists from Em al-Sharshouh town and surrounding areas.

On the same day, the army units eliminated many terrorists from al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘Islam Army’ in a series of operations in Jobar quarters near Damascus and in al-Hweqa quarter in Der Ezzour province.

More terrorists reportedly died when the army units targeted terrorist groupings in several flashpoint areas outside Aleppo, Daraa, Damascus, Hama and Idleb provinces.
