Syrian Arab Army Deliver Heavy Blows to Terrorists in Al-Qalamon Area and Homs — Shells Hit Damascus and Aleppo
PROVINCES,(ST)_knockout blows have been delivered to foreign-backed terrorist groups in al-Qalamon area outside Damascus and in Aleppo and Homs provinces, according to the official news agency.
The agency reported on Tuesday that the army units wiped out many terrorist groups and weapons in Yabroud and Jeroud areas and in the surrounding of Ma’aloula town as well as near Jab’adin area during accurate operations.
It added that more terrorists, some belong to the so-called the ‘Islamic Front’, were eliminated in operations in Duma and Adra areas outside Damascus.
While in Homs province, the army units mowed down terrorists who sneaked from al-Warsheh quarter into al-Wadi Street in the safe Bab Sba’a quarter, according to a military source.
The source added that a large chunk of terrorists died in a-Qarabis quarter and in the towns of al-Dar al-Kabira, al-Khaledeyeh, al-Ghasebeyeh.
Several terrorists surrendered themselves over to a military unit in Joret al-Shayyah quarter in the same province [Homs].
5 weaponry-loaded cars destroyed
Around 360km to the east of Homs, precisely in Der Ezzour province, the army units targeted 5 weapons-laden cars in al-Sena’a quarter and at Ghassan Abboud square.
They also destroyed a 29-meter long tunnel which was used by terrorists for shuttling and storing weapons in al-Jbeleh quarter in Der Ezzour province.
The same province witnessed a fierce clash between army units and armed terrorist groups in the airport quarter where 4 terrorists were identified among the dead.
Meanwhile, the army units pressed ahead with striking terrorist groupings in several areas in Aleppo and Idleb provinces.
Terrorists kill 2 citizens, wound 11
The terrorist groups daily kill citizens and cause damages to the country’s infrastructures through firing shells on residential areas nationwide.
Today, a woman and a child were martyred and 7 others wounded when a shell-fired by terrorists- landed on Al-Midan quarter and in Aleppo province.
Another citizen was wounded and several offices were damaged when tow rockets hit al-Qasr al-Baladi building in the same province [Aleppo].
In Damascus , shells hit al-Amara quarter and Street of ’29 May’ where 2 citizens were wounded.
A third citizen was wounded by the detonation of an explosive device attached to a bicycle in al-Amara quarter.
More shells hit towns of Jabborin and Kafrnan in central Homs province causing material damages without casualties.
Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.
The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor terrorist groups operating in Syria, media reports say.
