Syrian Arab army defeats al-Nusra Front terrorists in area on outskirts of Damascus, strikes ISIL in Aleppo

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has defeated al-Nusra Front-affiliated terrorists in al-Dekhaneyeh area on the outskirts of Damascus, media reports said Sunday.

A military source clarified that Syrian army in cooperation with popular defense groups took control of key parts in al-Dekhaneyeh area on the outskirts of Damascus.  

The source confirmed that Syrian army cut off supply routes for terrorists in the area and killed large numbers of them.

Ten days ago, al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists infiltrated into al-Dekhaneyeh area.

Last night, Syrian army recaptured quarters of al-Kharrat and al-Abras north al-Darkhabeyeh area in the wake of fierce clashes with terrorists.

The new achievement synchronized with continuity of military operations against terrorist organizations in several areas in Idlib, Quneitra, Daraa and eastern countryside of Homs.

Many terrorists were killed and injured in the military operations during which several hideouts for terrorists were obliterated.

Several sites of the ‘State of Iraq and the Levant’ [Known as Daesh in Arabic] in al-Bab city and on surrounding of Kweris airbase in eastern countryside of Aleppo were struck by Syrian warplanes.

Syrian army also warded off terrorists’ infiltration bid into al-Baath city in Quneitra.

YPG kills 25 Daesh-linked terrorists

On the other hand, Kurdish people’s protection units (YPG)regained control of Komliki town south Ein Arab (Kobani) in northern Aleppo province after fierce fighting with terror organization Daesh, media reports said.

The reports added that as many as 25 terrorists from Daesh were killed in a qualitative operation carried out by the YPG in Edqeyeh town south Ein al-Arab.
