He confirmed that the army units repelled over 17 terrorist attacks and dozens of infiltration attempts on Yadodeh axis and from Jordanian border into western countryside of Daraa.

“New positions have been set up by the army units to protect 50.000 persons living in al-Yarmouk and Bassel areas in Daraa city,” the commander added, pointing out that the terrorist organizations had failed to enter the city of Daraa.

In another development, the army units clamped down on terrorists in Jobar quarter near Damascus amid escalation of strikes against terrorist groups there.

There were also operations against terrorist groups in Quneitra and Khan al-Sheih in Damascus countryside as well as in several areas outside Aleppo, Homs and Idlib.
