Syrian Arab Army Crushes over 11 Terrorists in Idleb, Finds Lots of Bombs in Lattakia Countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units have killed more than 11 terrorists in northwestern Idleb province, destroyed a  250-meter long tunnel near Damascus and found a lot of mortar shells and bombs in Lattakia countryside.

According to the official news agency (SANA), most of the terrorists that were eliminated during a military operation near al-Sermaneyeh town in Jesr al-Shogour outside Idleb province were non-Syrians.

A military source clarified that the army units targeted terrorist groupings in the above mentioned area and in Ein al-Bardeh, M’arblit, Mrimin, Sahl al-Rouj, Qerfaya, Kafr Najd, Kafrlata, Bakfalon and in the surrounding of Jabal al-Arba’een.

It added that an army unit warded off an armed terrorist group’s attack on a checkpoint in Bennesh town where many terrorists were killed and injured.

In the same province [Idleb], an engineering unit defused four explosive devices-planted by terrorists- on the outskirts of Kafr Qadah town.

Weapons and munitions in Homs old city  

While in central Homs province, precisely in the old city, the competent authorities discovered a quantity of weapons and ammunitions during a combing operation.

A source at Homs province said that the weapons included B6 missile, 12 mortar shells, 9 rifles, a sniper, military gun, and 17 gun clips.

Meanwhile, an army unit thwarted an attempt by a terrorist group affiliated to the so-called the ‘Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant’ to steal wheat from Bayarat al-Daw area which is located around 25 km to the west of Palmyra city.

Many terrorists died in the confrontation. ‘

More terrorists were crushed in quarters of Hanano, Ma’arret al-Artiq, Bani Zied, Bestan al-Qasr and al-Kallaseh in northern Aleppo city amid reports of finding mortar shells and bombs during a combing operation in Nab’a al-Mer in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

In a further development, the army units continued targeting terrorist groupings in Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Jeroud area to the northeastern countryside of Damascus and destroyed a 250-meter long tunnel in Jobar quarter near the capital [Damascus].

The tunnel had been used by terrorists to move towards the heart of Jobar quarter.
