Syrian Arab army crush terrorists near Aleppo prison and military airports

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of armed forces advance in Damascus countryside and confront terrorist groups’ attacks on military airports and prison in Aleppo and Idleb provinces.

A n official source stressed on Wednesday that the Syrian Arab army imposed full control over al-Jarba and al-Bahhareya towns in the Eastern Ghouta, outside the capital, after cleansing them of terrorists.

“All terrorists’ hideouts were pounded in qualitative operations carried out by the units of armed forces in the two towns, and big quantity of sophisticated weapons were confiscated,” the source said.

The army’s today-advance enhances the previous victories in the Eastern Ghouta in which al-Abbada, al-Ghrefa and al-Etaibeh towns became safe few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the armed forces targeted terrorist groupings in other areas in the same province (Damascus countryside), including Jobar, Doma, Adra and Barzeh.

Unknown number of terrorists were  reportedly killed in the said areas.

In the northern Aleppo province, the units of armed forces killed today many terrorists, who tried to attack Aleppo central prison.

An official source dismissed reports that the armed terrorist groups captured part of the prison as “baseless”, saying that such reports aim to buoy up the spirit of terrorists, who are getting knockout blows from the Syrian Arab army.

Fighting in Aleppo

On the other hand, fighting continued between the armed forces and the foreign-backed terrorist groups in Khan al-assal, Sheikh Saed , al-Dwireneh, and al-Layramon areas outside Aleppo.

In Idleb province, the units of armed forces eliminated members of a terrorist group when they tried to come near Abo al-Dohor military airport from the west-south side.

In the central Homs province, it was reported that al-Mas’odeyeh School in Bab Hod alley had been cleansed of terrorists whilst a unit of armed forces targeted an armed terrorist group in al-Khaledeyeh town.

Elsewhere, the armed forces shelled al-Nusra Front-affiliated terrorists’ hideouts in al-Zwik and al-Mrij areas in Lattakia countryside.

Non-Syrian terrorists are among the killed ones in the said areas.

4 citizens martyred in blasts

In a separate incident, terrorists separately detonated explosive devices attached to two cars in the capital.

A physician working for Ibn al-Nafis Hospital was wounded when one of the explosive devices, which was attached to his car in Mazzeh Vellat, detonated.

The other explosive device was attached to a private car and it was detonated when it arrived in Omayyad square. A citizen was martyred and anther one wounded.

More martyrs were fallen when a suicide terrorist blasted a car on Mesyaf-Homs road.

The blast caused martyrdom of three citizens and wounded of other ones as well as massive damages at the scene.

Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.

The US, France, Britain, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia fund and support the terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizen and destroy Syria’s infrastructure
