Syrian Arab Army Continues Operations on Strategic Triangle Outside Daraa Province

PROVINCE,(ST)_The large-scale operation against foreign-backed terrorists on the strategic triangle that links Nawa, Inkhel and Jasem towns in southern Daraa province has continued, according to military sources.

The sources clarified that the operation aims at isolating the terrorist groups in the western countryside of Daraa to prevent them from linking Daraa countryside with Quneitra countryside.

They added that a tunnel- used by terrorists- in al-Sebeh quarter to the west of al-Kark quarter in Daraa al-Balad was destroyed by an army unit.

In the same province, a cameraman from the political administration was shot dead by terrorists as he was filming the events in Nawa city.

Meanwhile, the official news agency said the army units foiled terrorists’ attack on a garrison in Tal Qetri outside Talbeseh in Homs countryside and targeted terrorist groupings in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Another infiltration bid by armed terrorist groups from Karm al-Trab and al-Mayser quarters into safe areas in Aleppo city was also thwarted by the army units.

Libyan and Tunisian terrorists killed

Many terrorists were killed and injured there and in several contested areas outside Damascus, Idleb and Aleppo provinces.

Libyan and Tunisian terrorists were among those killed in Idleb countryside.

In addition, the army units wiped out an arms depot and several cars equipped with heavy machineguns for terrorists in the same province [Idleb].
