Syrian Arab army continues concentrated operations against terrorist organizations nationwide

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has continued its concentrated operations against terrorist organizations outside Daraa, Quneitra, Idlib, Homs, Der Ezzour, Hama and Damascus, media sources reported Saturday.

The sources said the operations resulted in pounding several terrorist hideouts in al-Ghareyeh al-Gharbeyeh, about 17km far away from Jordanian border, and in Ibta’a and Aqraba towns in Daraa countryside.

They added that several vehicles loaded with weapons and munitions belonging to terrorists were destroyed in al-Sheikh Meskin town, around 22km north Daraa and in Inkhel town- 55km north-west Daraa city- as well as in Bosra al-Harir area – 45km north Daraa.  

Many terrorists were killed and injured in the said towns, according to the official news agency (SANA) which confirmed that army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in Aqraba town that lies 48km north-west Daraa and in Alma town, about 22km north-east Daraa.

The agency quoted a military source as citing that dozens of terrorist were eliminated in qualitative operations in al-Hrak, Nawa, Athman and Der al-Adas towns [outside Daraa]in which terrorist organizations affiliated to the so-called the ‘Jedor Horan’ brigade and the ‘Hamza Asadollah’ brigade spread.

al-Nusra Front Military Emir in al-Sheikh Meskin killed  

Terrorist organizations announced through social networks the death of the al-Nusra Front Military Emir in al-Sheikh Meskin , dubbed Abo Torab al-Mohajer, plus leader of the ‘Tawhid al-Lajah’ brigade in Bosra al-Harir, his name Sabri Hussin al-Bkiri.

Further terrorists were killed in towns of Be’ar Ajam , Mashara, Hemrit and Kodna in Quneitra countryside and on the outskirts of the main square in Quneitra city.

Meanwhile, Syrian army targeted hideouts of al-Nusra Front, the ‘Ahrar al-Sham’ Movement and the ‘Islamic Front’ in al-Baraghethi and Abu Duhur towns in Idlib countryside which also witnessed operations against other terrorist organizations in Ma’arret Hermeh, Saraqeb, Taftanaz, Hzano, Shahranaz,  B’arbo, Semrin and Benish towns.

Most of the terrorists fighting in Idlib countryside are of foreign nationals and linked to al-Nusra Front.

Elsewhere, Syrian army killed large numbers of terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [its Arabic acronym is Daesh] in Hwejet Saker, Mohasan, al-Abed and al-Mre’eyeh towns in Der Ezzour province and hunted down terrorists in several contested town outside Homs, Hama and Damascus.

Well over 15 terrorists were killed in al-Rikabeyeh farms near Der al-Asafir town in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

On the other hand, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel said: “the newly-formed popular resistance front in the eastern provinces confirms that it stands by Syrian army in fighting the ISIS.”
