Syrian Arab Army Confiscates Munitions, Strikes Terrorist Groupings in Several Areas

PROVINCES,(ST)_A car loaded with ammunitions and walkie-talkies has been seized outside Damascus, as scores of foreign-backed terrorists linked to the so-called ‘Islamic Front’ and ‘al-Nusra Front’ have been reportedly mowed down in more than 30 restive areas in six provinces.

The car was confiscated on Wednesday in Jdaydet al-Shebani area, around 18km to the north-west of Damascus, according to the official news agency, which confirmed the death of dozens of the Islamic Front-linked terrorists in 8 areas- Adra, Irbin, Duma, Jobar, Darayya, Alzabadani, Ma’aloula, Yabroud- in Damascus countryside.

In this respect, alikhbaria al-Soreyeh TV channel screened a videotape showing that the munitions [big quantity of bullets] and the walkie-talkies were hidden inside a car bound for eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

Arms cache pounded

In a further development, it was said that units of the armed forces destroyed an arms depot in al-Dar al-Kabera area in central Homs province and eliminated tens of terrorists in towns of Taldo, al-Ghajar, al-Sa’en, Kherbet Hamam, and Beit al-Agha.

Well over 34 terrorists died in the towns of Kherbet Hamam, and Beit al-Agha, a military source said.

The same province [Homs] was hit by a rocket attack carried out by terrorists on al-Msherfeh town. Two rockets were fired from Talbeseh town causing material damages without casualties.

Clashes in Aleppo 

While in northern Aleppo province, the army units warded off terrorist groups’ attack on safe areas on the outskirt of al-Aqabeh and Carlton Hotel and targeted terrorist groupings in areas of al-Sheikh Najjar, al-Ma’amel and on the surrounding of the central prison as well as in al-Jdaydeh, Kweris, Der Qaq, al-Mansoura, Tal Rahhal, al-Sha’aleh and al-Meselmeyeh.

They, in addition, clashed with armed terrorist groups in the quarters of al-Hamedeyeh and Seif al-Dawleh in Aleppo city where an unknown number of terrorists was killed and injured.

Another clash flared up between army units and the armed terrorist groups in al-Mre’a town and near al-Seyaseh square in al-Hweqa quarter in Der Ezzour province which resulted in crushing dozens of terrorists.

Failed attacks

More terrorists, mostly affiliated to al-Nusra Front, were killed as they were trying to attack citizens in the western side of Jasem town in Daraa province, according to a military source.

The source noted that several terrorists were also eliminated in an attack on a garrison to the south-west of Ghabagheb town in the same province [Daraa]. 

Saudi terrorists

Hundreds, if not thousands, of the terrorists fighting for the so-called the ‘Islamic Front’ and al-Nusra Front are Saudi nationals, according to Syria’s permanent Representative to the UN, Bashar al-Jaafari, who asserted that some 473 terrorist of Saudi nationals have been killed in Syria.

Many terrorist of Saudi nationalities were killed today in Kansafra town outside Idleb province as well as in towns of al-Sheikh Meskin and Da’el in southern Daraa province.

Terrorists of Moroccan, Jordanian and Algerian nationalities were also among the dead in the said provinces.

 Syria is facing terrorism, sponsored by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, the US, France and Britain and exported from 80 countries, media reports say.
