Syrian Arab Army Conducts Concentrated Operations Outside Damascus, Thwarts Infiltration Bids into Safe Areas in Aleppo and Idleb

PROVINCES,(ST)_Intensified military operations have been carried out by army units against foreign-backed terrorist groups in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Jobar quarter near the capital [Damascus], according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency confirmed the death of dozens of terrorists in the operations which coincided with warding off terrorists’ infiltration bids into safe areas in Aleppo and Idleb provinces and targeting many terrorist groupings in several restive areas in the two provinces.

Most of the terrorist killed in al-Mliha town, Deir alAsafir, al-Nashabeyeh farms, Harasta, Jobar and Duma in Damascus countryside were belonging to al-Nusra front.

 

While in Wadi Ein Trama outside Damascus, a hideout for an armed terrorist group from the so-called the ‘Islamic union of Ajnad al-Shal’ was obliterated where many terrorists died.

Some 24 terrorists killed

As many as 12 terrorists were also mowed down in a series of concentrated operations in Khan al-Sheih area and its farms.

Meanwhile, the army units thwarted terrorists’ infiltration bid from al-Maysar and al-Krom quarters into safe areas in Aleppo province and eliminated at least 12 terrorists there.

Another infiltration attempt from al-Zawiyeh mountain into safe areas in Ariha town outside Idleb province was foiled by an army unit.

Bombs-making factory destroyed  

A military source was quoted in the official agency as citing that the army units targeted terrorist groupings and destroyed a factory for making explosive devices plus an arms cache and several cars equipped with heavy machineguns in towns of Bsela and Kafr Jales in the same Province [Idleb].

Additional cars equipped with machineguns were wiped out and several terrorists were killed by the army units in Daraa al-Balad in southern Daraa province.

More terrorists were killed and injured when an army unit targeted an armed terrorist group in Abo Hwadid town outside Homs.
