Syrian Arab Army Conduct Concentrated Operations Against Terrorists in Aleppo, Homs and Damascus Countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_Accurate strikes and shelling against foreign-backed terrorist groupings in more than 28 areas in Aleppo, Homs and Damascus countryside provinces have been carried out by the army units.

The concentrated military operations, conducted on Wednesday, resulted in eliminating scores of armed terrorist groups in 17 areas in Aleppo province, 8 areas in Damascus and 3 in Homs, according to the official news agency.

The agency added that several weapons-laden boats for terrorists were destroyed in the Orontes River in northern countryside of Hama province.

It also said that at least 5 citizens were wounded by terrorist attacks in Damascus and its countryside and in al-Hassaka provinces.

Accurate operations

In details, the army units eliminated armed terrorist groups in quarters of Qadi Askar, Karm Mayser, al-Marjeh, Masaken Hanano, al-Hader and the industrial city as well as in towns of Handarat, Fafin, al-Sakan al-Shababi, Kweris, Jdedeh, Nasrallah, Hamemeh, Hretan, Orem al-Kobra, Kafr Karmin and surrounding of the central prison.

They, in addition, killed many terrorists in areas of Adra, Jobar, Erbin, Duma, al-Mliha, Darayya, Khan al-Sheih and al-Kesweh outside Damascus and in al-Qosor quarter, al-Rasan and al-Dar al-Kabera areas in central Homs province.

Arms-laden boats targeted

While in Hama province, the army units wiped out boats loaded with weaponry for the terrorists in the Orontes River and crushed dozens of terrorists in al-Hisa bridge to the east of Morek town, according to a military source.

Detonation inside pharmacy

Regarding the terrorist attacks, the official agency clarified that two citizens were wounded by a sniper in Harasta area and two cars plus a house were damaged when 4 shells –fired by terrorists- landed on Daheyet Harasta outside Damascus.

Other shells hit Bab Tuma area in the capital [Damascus] leaving material damages with no casualties.

In Al-Hassaka province, at least 3 citizens were wounded by detonation of an explosive device- put by terrorists- inside a pharmacy in al-Saleheyeh quarter.

Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.

The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, according to world media reports.
