Syrian Arab army cautions terrorists in al-Qsir city, shells their hideouts elsewhere

PROVINCES,(ST)-Syrian Arab army cautions foreign-backed terrorists in al-Qsir city in the central Homs province and shells their hideouts outside Damascus, Hama, Aleppo , Idleb and Lattakia provinces.

The Beirut-based al-Mayadden TV Channel reported today (Friday): “A day after imposing control over al-Shommareya town in al-Qsir countryside and lifting the terrorists’ one-year siege on al-Gassaneya town, the Syrian army’s warplanes dropped leaflets on al-Qsir city advising gunmen to surrender and offering safe exit for locals.”

In this context, SANA said that a unit of armed forces killed a terrorist group as it tried to flee from al-Qsir city to al-Hseneya, adding that other units continued carrying out operations against terrorist groupings in Bab Hod and al-Qosor , Kaferlaha, Taldo, Taldahab, al-Haydareya, al-Khaledeya and al-Hamedeya areas.

Unknown number of terrorists has been killed in the operations.

Cleansed towns in Hama

In Hama Province (Around 209km north of Damascus), it was reported that the armed forces restored security to two towns-Zor Abu Zeid and Zor al-Asi- after cleansing them from terrorist groups. 

A military source said the armed forces dismantled tens of explosive devices, which were planted by terrorists on the main road of the towns.

It added that several al-Nusra Front-affiliated terrorists were eliminated in Halfaya and Tebet al-Imam areas in Hama province. 

Dozens of terrorists killed

Meanwhile, the armed forces targeted terrorists and their arms caches in many areas in countryside of Damascus, Aleppo, Idleb and Lattakia, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

Many of killed terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front, a military source stressed.

In Daraa Province, south to the country, two terrorist groups killed each other in a quarrel broke out over sharing loots in al-Jezeh and al-Tebeh towns.  

Syria is facing a foreign-backed war that aims to weaken the Syrian Arab army and destroy national economy to serve Israel’s interests in the region.

The US, France, Britain, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia fund and support the terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizen and destroy Syria’s infrastructure
