PROVINCES,(ST)_Swift and intensified strikes have been launched against foreign-backed terrorists in 8 provinces.
The strikes, according to the official news agency, left large numbers of terrorists, some belonging to al-Nusra Front and the so-called ‘Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL), dead there.
As many as 30 terrorists were eliminated today in Rima farms in Yabroud area and 26 others, including ringleaders, were killed in the areas of al-Qabon, Jobar, Zamalka, al-Mliha, Yalda, al-Qtayfeh, Wadi Barada, and al-Nabk and on alBelaleyeh-alBahhareyeh axis outside Damascus.
Other terrorists were mowed down in a clash which flared up in Bheret al-Sein in eastern Damascus countryside where a heavy machine gun-equipped car, RPG launchers, rifles and different types of munitions were confiscated.
Al-Nusra Front-affiliated terrorists were eliminated in al-Mliha farms outside Damascus and in al-Hassaka province, while the ISIL-linked terrorists died in al-Saqqi area in al-Nabk , around 79km to the north-east of the capital [Damascus], and in Der Ezzour province
More al-Nusra Front-affiliates were reportedly killed in Morek area outside Hama province where a rocket launcher and 3 cars equipped with heavy machine guns were destroyed.
Loud explosions
Other 9 cars loaded with arms and ammunitions were destroyed near ‘Safenet al-Sa’hraa’ restaurant to the east of Hritan and on the road linking Tal Ern to al-Safera area outside Aleppo province causing loud explosions there.
In the same province (Aleppo), the armed forces eliminated 6 terrorists and wounded several others trying to reach safe areas on the outskirts of the city, according to a military source.
The source noted that several terrorist groupings were wiped out in 7 areas.
More terrorist groupings were crushed in more than 10 restive areas in Homs province amid reports of shelling an arms cache in al-Sam’alil town in al-Hola area.
2 ringleaders wounded
In Lattakia countryside, the armed forces killed two terrorists and wounded several ones, including the ringleaders of the so-called ‘Free army’ in Idlib and ‘al-Mohajeren’ battalion, in al-Rawda town.
They also pounded a hideout and 3 weapon-laden cars in al-Sha’hrora town where 4 terrorists perished.
However, in Idlib province, an army unit warded off a terrorist bid to infiltrate into Abo al-Dohor airbase.
Terrorists open fire on citizens
In a separate incident, an armed terrorist group shot two citizens dead near al-Hesn al-Batriki Hospital in al-Hosh town outside Homs.
An official source made it clear that the terrorist group sneaked last night from al-Hesn town through farms into the surrounding of the hospital and opened fire on citizens.
Other terrorists attack took place in towns of Tal Jded and al-Meshrfeh when several rockets landed there causing material damages. No casualties.
