Syrian Arab army carries out operations outside Hama, Aleppo, Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of armed forces have eliminated dozens of terrorists in a series of operations carried out in countryside of Hama, Aleppo  and Damascus.

A military source declared Thursday that units of armed forces pounded al-Nusra Front’s hideouts in Abu Hbilat village in the eastern Hama countryside and regained security to it.

It added that dozens of terrorists were killed and a quantity of weapons were confiscated in a mopping up operations carried out in the above mentioned village .

“As many as 50 explosive devices of the weight 50-100 kg/each were dismantled in Salba station, south-east of Salameyeh,” the source added.

In Damascus countryside, units of armed forces destroyed many of terrorists’ weapons and hideouts in Adra, Jobar, Halbon, al-Nabk, al-Hseneyeh and al-Dyabeyeh areas.

‘Big quantity’ of machine guns destroyed

The operations coincided with eliminating unknown number of terrorists in several areas in the northern Aleppo province and its surrounding. A big number of machine guns were also destroyed there.

Army finds 18 tunnels in al-Qusayr

On the other hand, the units of armed forces found 18 tunnels in al-Qusayr city and tens of explosive devices in the western al-Dmeneh town during mopping up operations.

The tunnels were used by terrorists to store weapons and to move from one place to another.

The armed forces reportedly continue hunting down terrorists in the central Homs province and its countryside amid reports of targeting several hideouts of terrorists in the southern Dara province.

A citizen martyred in Hasaka

In a separate incident, a citizen was martyred and 3 others wounded in a detonation of an explosive device planted by terrorists in Tal Hajar quarter in Hasaka province.

Meanwhile, Der Ezzour locals staged a march in support for the Syrian Arab army. They denounced the armed terrorist groups’ crimes against the locals of the city.
