Syrian Arab army ambushes terrorists on Braq-Sweida road, kills 5 Chechens plus 25 Uzbekistanis in Idlib
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has ambushed terrorists on Braq-Sweida road a day after warding off al-Nusra Front attack on Namer town in Daraa countryside, according to media sources.
The Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel said today that several gunmen were killed and injured in an ambush set up by Syrian army on Braq-Sweida road in Daraa countryside.
While the official news agency (SANA) reported yesterday that army units warded off al-Nusra Front attack on Namer town in the same province which witnessed qualitative operations against terrorist hideouts in Jlin town and in the eastern edge of the strategic Bosra al-Sham city.
Many terrorists were killed and injured in the said areas.
Dozens of terrorists killed
Add to that, army units pounded yesterday two terrorist hideouts near al-Sheikh Yousef town on Idlib-Selqin road, killing dozens of terrorists including five Chechens.
As many as 25 Uzbekistanis were among dozens of terrorists eliminated in the same road on Wednesday.
More 10 terrorists were eliminated yesterday when army units targeted a terrorist hideout in Korin town in the northwestern countryside of Idlib.
Clashes among ISIS terrorists in Raqqa
In another development, al-Mayadeen TV channel confirmed that more than 40 ISIS gunmen escaped from al-Raqqa city after clashes between foreign fighters linked to the ISIS organization and Turkish and Gulf fighters linked to the same organization.
150 wanted persons surrender
On the other hand, some 150 wanted persons from Damascus and its suburb turned themselves in to the competent authorities to regularize their situations, according to the Syrian TV channel.
