Syrian Arab army advances on strategic town outside Damascus, eliminates many terrorists on several fronts

PROVINCES,(ST)_Concentrated operations against foreign-backed terrorist groups have been carried out by army units in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Adra al-Balad in Damascus countryside, the official news agency (SANA) said on Sunday.

The agency quoted military sources as citing that terrorist groups were inflicted heavy losses in Damascus countryside and in Aleppo, Homs, Idleb and Daraa provinces.

The concentrated operations in the heart of al-Mliha town resulted in crushing more than 13 terrorists, mostly non-Syrians, and making major advances on the town, which is located southeast of Damascus.

There were also other operations on the axis of Jobar, few kilometers far away from Damascus, where a hideout for terrorist ringleaders was obliterated.

As many as 20 terrorists from the so-called the ‘Islamic Union of Ajnad al-Sham’ died in Jobar, the agency’s reporter said.

Twenty more terrorists belonging to the so-called the ‘al-Zoubir’ battalion in the Islam Army, were mowed down in a series of concentrated operations in Adra al-Balad.

Clashes in Darayya

Moreover, the agency added that the army units targeted terrorists to the north-east of al-Dmeir area and clashed with terrorists in Darayya city outside Damascus.

Many terrorists were killed and injured in the said areas and in several restive areas in Daraa, Homa, Aleppo and Idleb provinces.

Furthermore, military sources declared that a factory for booby-trapping cars in Talbeseh in Homs province and armored cars for terrorist ringleaders in jabal al-zawiya [al-Zawiya Mountain] in Idleb province were destroyed by the army units.
