Syrian Arab Army advances on Othman town in Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units have made major advance on Othman town in southern Daraa province, according to a field commander.

The commanders was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as citing that dozens of army’s soldiers suddenly obliterated hideouts of terrorists in the town of Othman and made a remarkable progress there.

“The soldiers have deployed on the outskirts of Othman town after recapturing al-Ghezlan and al-Bitar farms,” the commander added, pointing out that large numbers of terrorists were killed in the farms.

He confirmed that the army units are inching closer to complete cordoning  off the terrorists in the town of Othman.

“The army units have come to about 1500 meter away from the northern side of Yadodeh town and they imposed control over terrorists’ supply routes into Othman town,” the field commander said.

He added that several terrorist ringleaders in Othman town blamed each other after the army’s advance and moved to Yadodeh town through which terrorists and weapons are being conveyed to Othman town.

Last year, al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists displaced the towns’ locals- estimated 13000 persons, from their houses.
