PROVINCES,(ST)_Several buildings in al-Layramon area in Aleppo province have been retaken by army units who are moving forward in the area amid reports of ambushing an armed terrorist group outside Idleb province.
According to the official news agency (SANA), the army units regained control of the buildings, located to north of the western side of al-Zahra’a area, in the wake of defeating terrorists.
The advance in al-Layramon area synchronized with warding off a terrorist group’s infiltration attempt from al-Maysar quarter into safe areas.
A military source declared that many terrorists were killed and injured in the confrontation during qualitative operations against terrorist groupings in the surrounding of the industrial city and central prison as well as in the towns of Mare’a, Tal Ref’at al-Kastello and al-Sheikh Sa’eed.
Pakistani and Chechen terrorists killed
Meanwhile, the army units mowed down an armed terrorist group from the so-called ‘Shohada’al Corin’ battalion in al-Rouj plain outside Idleb province.
Terrorists of Pakistani and Chechen nationalities were among those killed in the ambush, a military source said.
In the same province, an army unit thwarted a terrorist group’s infiltration bid from Qmemes town into a nearby farm.
Another infiltration bid by armed terrorist group from J’eleyeh town into Tal Hamad n southern Daraa province was also foiled by the army units that shelled several terrorist groupings in al-Lajah area and south al-Mtalleh town, according to the official agency.
Later on, the agency confirmed the destruction of most terrorist’ hideouts and the death of many terrorist ringleaders in today’s operations in the strategic al-Milha town in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.
More terrorists from al-Nusra Front were killed and a dump containing missiles and explosive devices was wiped out in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
Some 26 gunmen surrender
On the other hand, the agency quoted a source at Damascus countryside governorate as saying that about 26 gunmen from the towns of Zakyeh, al-Tebeh, al-Mqelbeyeh and Ein al-Bida in al-Kesweh area turned themselves in to the competent authorities to regularize their situations.
