Syrian Arab Army Advances in Nawa City Outside Daraa, Kills Dozens of Terrorists Outside Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units have made progress on several axes in Nawa city outside Daraa province, killed more than 50 terrorists in Khan al-Sheih area outside Damascus and foiled terrorists’ infiltration bid from al-Dar al-Kabira into a garrison at al-Dweir junction outside Homs.

They also eliminated many al-Nusra front-linked terrorists in an operation on the northern side of al-Mliha town in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus, thwarted terrorists’ infiltration attempt from Khan Tuman into safe areas in Aleppo city and mowed down 19 terrorists in KafrTakharim outside Idleb province.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the army units continued fighting terrorists in Nawa city outside Daraa and made a progress on several axes there.

Last night, it was reported that the army units started a large-scale operation in the city of Nawa.

The progress coincided with striking terrorist groupings in areas of Jasem, Inkhel, Tsil and Daraa al-Balad as well as in towns of Othman and Da’el, according to a military source.

Some 8 ringleaders killed

At least eight terrorist ringleaders died in Daraa al-Balad, the source said, adding that 18 anti-tank mines and four explosive devices were defused in an area located between Qita and Semlin towns outside Daraa.

Meanwhile, the army units killed many terrorists from al-Nusra front and the so-called the ‘Islamic Front’ in a series of operations in  eastern Ghouta, Adra al-Balad, Jobar, al-Zabadani and Khan al-Sheih areas outside Damascus.

Terrorists of Algerian, Lebanese and Yemeni nationalities were among the terrorists killed in  eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

Clashes in heart of Darayya

There were also clashes between the army units and armed terrorist groups in the heart of Darayya city to the west of Damascus.

The clashes resulted in killing eight terrorists and destroying weapons.

More terrorists perished as the army units pressed ahead with targeting terrorist groupings in several flashpoint areas outside Aleppo and Idleb provinces.

On the other hand, a car bomb explosion in Ma’ret al-Na’asan town outside Idleb province has caused the destruction of a hideout and an arms depot for terrorists and the death of a large number of terrorists.
