Syrian Arab army advances in Homs, discovers bomb-making factory in al-Qalamon area

PROVINCES,(ST)_The Army units have advances in the ongoing battles in Homs province, continued scanning al-Qalamon area outside Damascus and killed many foreign-backed terrorists in provinces of Aleppo, Daraa and Idleb.

According to the official news agency, the army units regained control of several buildings and schools complex in Jeb al-Jandali quarter in central Homs province.

The advance synchronized with pounding a hideout for terrorist ringleaders in Bab Hod quarter in Homs old city and warding off armed terrorist groups’ attacks on garrisons in Tal Omri, al-Mesherfeh, Tal Qetri and Ein al-Dananir outside Homs.

As many as 40 terrorists were killed and several others, including five ringleaders, injured in the confrontations at the garrisons.

Another hideout for terrorist ringleaders was obliterated in Der Fol town amid reports of destroying terrorists’ vehicles, arms cache and missile launcher in towns of Mnokh, Jeb Jabal Tadmour and Habra al-Gharbeyeh and defusing a 200kg-wieght booby trapping ,which was planted by terrorists in al-Ghasebeyeh town.

In addition, the army units shelled terrorist groupings in many areas outside Homs where many terrorists were crushed.

Some 20 ringleaders killed

More terrorists, including military ringleader of the so-called “Noureddin al-Zenki and Ahmad Sheikh Hasan’ battalions, died as the army nits targeted terrorist groupings in al-Ramoseh, Jdedeh, Tal Ref’at, Daret Ezzeh, surrounding of the central prison, al-Tamora, al-Hajeb, Krom, al-Wadihi, Khan al-Asal, Aleppo-Damascus highway, and al-Mansoura.

More terrorist groupings in more than 15 areas outside Daraa and Idleb province were also targeted by the army units, according to military sources.

Last night, the army units eliminated 20 ringleaders of non-Syrian nationality in Aleppo province and in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Bomb-making factories

In a further development, the army units found a factory for making explosive devices, mortar shells and missiles in an area located between Esal al-Ward and al-Ma’amoura in al-Qalamo area outside Damascus.

In this context, the official agency clarified that the terrorist groups had occupied public and private properties and used them as factories for making explosive devices and mortar shells and booby trapping cars.

It added that the terrorist groups displaced civilians from their houses and used the houses as hideouts to plan for criminal acts against civilians. 

Syria is facing terrorism exported from around 83 countries.

The US, France, the UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Qatar sponsor terrorist groups operating in Syria.
