Syrian and Pakistani ministers of education visit the National Center for Excellence in Homs 

Homs, (ST) – The Minister of Education Dr. DaremTabbaa and his Pakistani counterpart, Dr. Rana Tanveer Hussain discussed during their visit on Wednesday to the National Center for Excellence in Homs means of enhancing cooperation between the two friendly countries in the educational field.

In statements to reporters, Minister Tabbaa drew attention to the scientific and technical excellence in Pakistan and the possibility of benefiting from it. He added that the visit to the center today is evidence of the great interest in linking cooperation between Syria and Pakistan in the educational field and in technical fields that do not exist in Syria, and the exchange of experiences between the educational cadres of both sides.

Tabbaa said that an expanded work program will be developed through a joint committee that includes in its membership a member of the National Center for Excellence, to give this center a priority in the scientific exchange of students and educational staff in it.

In turn, the Pakistani Minister of Education stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the educational field. He referred to the importance of the National Center for the Excellence with its scientific laboratories and what it offers to its students, wishing progress and success for this center in its work.

During their meeting with the Governor of Homs, Engineer Namir Makhlouf, the two ministers reviewed the agricultural, industrial, economic and educational sides of the province. The Pakistani Minister of Education confirmed that this is his first visit to Syria, and that the Pakistani people and government love the people and government of Syria.

The Pakistani minister said that we pray to God that Syria will be well and recover, and be in the ranks of the prosperous countries, and we in Pakistan seek to develop relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in the educational field.
