The Syrian and Lebanese armies have agreed on Wednesday to withdraw their forces from the village of “Hosh Al -Sayyid Ali” and to help civilians return to it.
SANA quoted Colonel Abdel Moneim Daher, Commander of the First Brigade of the 52nd Division of the Syrian Army, as saying: Communication and coordination were made between the liaison officer in the ministry with his counterpart in the Lebanese army.
It was agreed that the units of the Syrian and Lebanese armies withdraw from Hosh Al-Sayyid Ali village and ensure that civilians return to the village without any military presence inside it, as the two sides are stationed on the outskirts of the village.
The Colonel stressed that the Syrian army is committed to implementing the agreement.
He stressed that any violation of this agreement by Hezbollah will face firm and direct response without prior warning.
The village located in the Qusayr countryside in Syria had witnessed clashes between forces from the Syrian Ministry of Defense and a Hezbollah group.
