The Ministry of Transport announced that Syrian Airlines will resume its Damascus-Baghdad-Damascus flights at a rate of two flights per week (Sunday and Thursday), starting from February 2.
Director General of Syrian Airlines, Eng. Obeida Gabriel, noted in a statement to SANA that Baghdad is one of the important stations in the work map of Syrian Airlines and it is among the stations on which operations were previously ongoing. Today, in light of the increasing demand and the economic and service feasibility, the movement of passengers will be served on it back and forth via Damascus International Airport.
Gabriel pointed out that after two years of stopping, the resumption of operations comes due to the improvement in the operational capacity of flights, and the increase in the demand for travel between Syria and Iraq.
