Syrian Airlines today officially announced the resumption of direct flights between Syria and the United Arab Emirates, starting next Sunday, to both Dubai and Sharjah as an exceptional first phase.
The company explained on its official Facebook page that four weekly flights will currently be operated between Damascus and Dubai, on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a plan to increase them to seven flights per week soon.
Flights to Sharjah will also be operated on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Work continues with the aim of increasing their frequency to a daily flight.
As for the Damascus-Abu Dhabi flights, they will be on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Syrian Airlines affirmed that it is making every effort to expand its flight network as soon as possible, once it obtains the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities to expand the number of flights. It called on travelers to contact its offices inside and outside Syria for more information.
