Syrian air force strikes back after Jaish al-Islam terrorists shelled residential areas

Damascus – A military source said Friday that Jaish al-Islam terrorists positioned in Douma in Eastern Ghouta targeted with several shells al-Wafideen corridor and al-Assad residential suburb in Harasta, causing civilian casualties and material damage, SANA reported.

The source added that the Syrian warplanes have stuck back at terrorists in Douma following the attack.

On Thursday, an agreement known as ‘Douma Agreement’ to deport Jaish al-Islam terrorists in the city to Jarablus was put on hold as infighting intensified within the terrorist organization. Over the past few days, three batches of Jaish al-Islam terrorists and their families have already left for Jarablus.

According to the source, Jaish al-Islam terrorists are thwarting the agreement and refuse to release the abductees in Douma city.

Douma agreement stipulates that Jaish al-Islam terrorists leave Douma for Jarablus to allow state institutions back into the city. Under the agreement, abducted military personnel and civilians, as well as the bodies of martyrs and light and medium weapons are to be handed over to the Syrian state.
