Syrian Air Defenses Intercept Israeli Missiles Targeting Damascus

DAMASCUS, (ST)-  The Syrian Air defenses late on Firday intercepted missiles fired by Israeli warplanes against Damascus vicinity and managed to shoot down most of them, a military source affirmed.

 “Israeli enemy’s warpalnes coming from an area in the occupied Palestinian territories fired several missiles against Damascus vicinity, but the Syrian air defenses immediately intercepted the missiles and downed most of them,”  said the source, adding that the Israeli aggression caused  damage to a warehouse at Damascus International Airport.

  A source at the Ministry of Transport told SANA that the enemy missile attack didn’t affect the movement and work process at Damascus International Airport.

On December 25th, 2018, the Syrian air defenses also managed to intercept enemy missiles fired by Israeli warplanes from the Lebanese airspace and downed most of the missiles befor they reach their target.
