DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Syrian team participating in the 2019 International Chemistry Olympiad, which concluded today in France with the participation of 87 countries, won two bronze medals, the Syrian News Agency SANA reported.
According to the Distinction and Creativity Agency, Karam Wafeek Khaddour, a class 12 student from Homs province and Mohammad Rafe’ Bilal, a class 12 student from Tartous province got the bronze medals for their distinguished performance in the competitions.
Ten days ago, the Syrian team participating in the International Mathematical Olympiad in Britain won two medals, a silver and a bronze, as well as three certificates of appreciation (Honourable Mentions). Syria also won two bronze medals in the International Biology Olympiad in Hungary.
