Syria wins three bronze medals in the Asian Olympiad of Informatics

The students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won three bronze medals in the Asian Olympiad of Informatics, which was remotely organized by Indonesia on the fifteenth of this month, with the participation of 240 students from 33 countries.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority said in a statement that the winning students are Ahmed Muhammad Munther Haidar from the third secondary grade from Al-Mohseniya School in Damascus, Bishr Saad Al-Din Islambouli from the second secondary grade from Al-Morouj School in Aleppo, and Muhammad Noor Muhammad Khaldoun Masri from the third secondary grade from al-Ma’arifa School in Aleppo.

27 students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad from Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Lattakia specializing in “Informatics” participated in the Asian Olympiad for Informatics. The competitions lasted five hours at the same time in the participating countries and with the direct electronic link between the students and the Asian Scientific Committee for the Olympiad in Indonesia. It included a set of issues in the English language, which requires a high capacity for analysis and logical thinking in the field of programming and algorithms.
