Syria wins one silver and two bronze medals at InfoCup 2024 International Informatics Championship in Romania

Syrian Scientific Olympiad  students gained  three silver and two bronze medals in the InfoCup 2024 International Informatics Competition, which Romania organized remotely during the period between the 9th and the 11th of this month.

The Distinction  and Creativity Agency said in  a statement of which  SANA received a copy on Sunday, that 8 students from the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for Informatics team who were not more than 16 years old participated in the competition.

The Agency added that the silver medal was achieved by the member of the National Informatics Team, Abdullah Abdullah, from the Al-Kumait Blidi School in the Lattakia Governorate, while the two bronze medals went to the two members of the National Informatics Team, Amr Abbara, from the Ibn Khaldoun Private School in Homs Governorate, and Bishr Joukhadar from the Omar Bin Abdul Aziz School in  Damascus Countryside.

The statement  indicated that through  this participation, the national teams will continue their participation in international competitive activities for the year 2024 and continue to win medals and crown Syria in international forums.
