Syria wins one gold and seven bronze medals at the FIFA Club World Cup for Kickboxing

The Syrian kickboxing team won a gold medal and seven bronze medals at the World Cup, held in Antalya, Turkey, with wide participation from around the world.

Our team won the gold medal thanks to player Ghaith Al-Shihabi, who won the under-81 kg junior category using the low kick style.

Our national team won bronze medals thanks to participant Amjad Samha in the under 57 kg weight class using the “K One” style, Muhannad Al-Sharbaji in the over 81 kg weight class using the “low kick” style, Mohammed Hassan Sakaria in the under 69 kg weight class using the “Kick Light” style, and Mustafa Masry in the under 75 kg weight class using the “low kick” style, all of whom are in the junior category.

Mohammed Nour Slay also won a bronze medal in the under 51 kg weight class in the “low kick” style in the men’s category, while Qusay Al Ibrahim and Omar Al Qarsa won bronze medals in the “Creative Forms” style in the “Para Kickboxing” competition for people with disabilities.

In a statement to SANA, President of the Kickboxing Federation, Saria Al-Jazaery, pointed to the remarkable skill levels displayed by our national team players, which enabled them to ascend the podiums with merit. He also noted the distinguished participation of Syrian champions with special needs in the championship, which is a strong message of will, determination, and the ability to excel despite all circumstances.

The Kickboxing World Cup, organized by the Turkish Kickboxing Federation in collaboration with the World Kickboxing Federation (WAKO), concluded yesterday evening after four days of competition with the participation of 41 countries, including seven Arab nations, including Syria.
