Syria wins four medals, including two gold ones, in the International Applied Physics Olympiad

Students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won two gold medals as well as a silver and a bronze medals in the International Applied Physics Olympiad (IAPhO) 2022.

20 countries from Europe, Asia and Africa took part  in the event which was remotely organized by Indonesia late last April.

According to the Distinction and  Creativity Agency, the two gold medals went to the students Jana Nael Nou’man and Laith Haitham Al-Sheikh, while the silver one went to the student Rasein Sadiq Shabib and the bronze one went to the student Ammar Raqed Masoud.

 The agency added that the Syrian scientific Olympiad team achieved a major progress in its second consecutive participation. It ranked second after Indonesia.
