Syria Wins Five Bronze Medals in The Iranian International Mathematical Engineering Olympiad
Damascus (ST) –In the Iranian International Mathematical Engineering Olympiad, whose results were released yesterday, Syrian students won 5 bronze medals and 13 certificates of appreciation.
Distinction and Creativity Agency stated that 147 students from various Syrian governorates participated in the Olympiad, organized remotely on the 14th of last October, within four age groups ((beginner, intermediate, advanced, and free), distributed among 7 centers; Damascus, Al-Suwayda, Homs, Hama, Tartous, Lattakia, and Aleppo.
The agency pointed out that 8600 students representing 60 countries participated in the Olympiad and competed in tests that lasted for four and a half hours.
It is noteworthy that this is the fifth participation for Syria in the Olympiad, which has been held annually since 2014. The Olympiad has wide participation from various countries of the world.
