Syria wins 5 medals in the 11th Arab Kyokushin Championship

The Syrian Kyokushin team has won five different medals, two golds, two silvers and a bronze, in the11th Arab Kyokushin Championship which concluded its competitions today in the Lebanese Capital Beirut.

250 players from Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Tunisia, Kuwait, Palestine and Egypt took part in the competitions.

In the Kata competitions, Syrian player Dima Al-Nouri won one of the gold medals for women category, while the other gold medal went to the Syrian player Yamen Zarzour for the junior category.

Player Dima Al-Nuri also won a silver medal in the single combat competitions for women under-55 kg category, while the player Firas Zarzour won the other silver medal in the single combat competitions for men under-60 kg category.

The bronze medal went to the player Mohammad Arafat in the single combat competitions for the junior under-65 kg category.

It is to be noted that the Lebanese team ranked first in the championship’s general ranking with 760 points. Iraq came second with 480 points, Palestine came third with 90 points, Kuwait ranked fourth with 80 points and Syria came fifth with 75 points.
