Syria wins 35 medals in Arab Weightlifting Championship in Jordan

 Amman –The Syrian weightlifting team won a total of 35 medals in the first day of the Arab Weightlifting Championship currently being held in Jordan.

The Syrian team won 26 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals: Jaafar Mia won (1 gold and 1 silver), Yahya al-Ghafir won (2 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze), Rima Mohammad Rasheh won (3 gold), Mary Hasan won (6 gold), Rima Rasha won (2 gold and 1 silver), Mirna Hasan won (6 gold and 3 silver), and Mary Jeghaili won (6 gold).
