Syria wins 14 medals in the International Astrophysics Competition

The Syrian team participating in the International Astrophysics Competition, held virtually in the German city of Cologne, has won 7 silver medals and 7 bronze medals.

Members of the team were selected from among the students of Center for Applied Physics and Basic Sciences in Lattakia.

Education Minister Darem Tabbaa, who met the participants in the competition on Saturday, said that this contest is one of the most important competitions in the domain of space science, stressing the importance of cooperation with scientific research centers to enrich the students’ knowledge about space science.
