Syria Will Inevitably Triumph over Terrorism: Ex-Lebanese President

BEIRUT, (ST)- Former Lebanese President Emil Lahhoud has stressed his confidence that Syria will triumph over terrorism despite the heinous war, hailing the achievements of the Syrian Army in the battle against terrorists.

In an article published by the Lebanese “al-Thabat” newspaper on Thursday, Lahoud said Syria’s victory after five years of legendary steadfastness “will lead us to a new era the resistance alliance should know how to benefit from.”

The former Lebanese president clarified that the terrorist aggression on Syria was launched according to a long-term plan after the aggression architects had failed to break the will of resistance in Lebanon. He pointed out that the aggression was planned for by a Turkish collusion as well as by Qatari and Saudi cheating aiming to spread “creative chaos” that seeks fragmenting and destroying Syria.
