Syria welcomes Algeria’s declaration on Palestinian unification

Syria has expressed its support for Algeria’s announcement of the “Unification Conference for the Achieving Palestinian National Unity,” stressing that it is in the interest of the unity of the Palestinian ranks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement today that: The Syrian Arab Republic welcomes the content of Algeria’s declaration emanating from the “Unification Conference for the Achieving Palestinian National Unity,” which was held in Algeria from the 11th to the 13th of October2022.”

The ministry added: “It also expresses its appreciation and support for the initiative of Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the sisterly People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, which was the basis for this declaration and its positive results on the Palestinian arena.

The Foreign Ministry continued: “Syria believes that this meeting is in the interest of the unity of the Palestinian ranks and the reinforcing of the Palestinian people’s strength in resisting the Israeli occupation, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the land of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital.”
