Syria warns that Zionist entity’s inhumane crimes will drag the region into a dangerous escalation

DAMASCUS, SEP.28, (ST)-  Syria has condemned in the strongest terms the continuing crimes of the Israeli terrorist entity and its targeting of a residential area in the southern suburb of Beirut, stressing that insisting on these inhuman crimes will drag the entire region into a dangerous escalation whose results are difficult to predict.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement issued today :“The Israeli entity continues its brutal war against the countries of the region, in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria, where yesterday evening it committed a new crime against humanity, by targeting a residential area in the southern suburb of the capital, Beirut, which led to the destruction of a number of buildings above the heads of their residents, who are innocent civilians.”

It added: ““The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms all of these ongoing crimes, and reiterates that the Israeli terrorist entity’s insistence on shedding blood and committing all kinds of war crimes and crimes against humanity that are reprehensible will lead to dragging the entire region into a dangerous escalation whose results are difficult to predict.”

The Foreign Ministry concluded its statement by saying: “Syria denounces the world’s silence in the face of the horror of these crimes, the likes of which humanity has not witnessed in decades, and reaffirms the right of the peoples of the region to defend themselves in the face of this Israeli terrorist aggression.”
