Syria, Venezuela discuss ways to enhance cooperation to respond to the needs of arrivals from Lebanon
Damascus(ST)-Minister of Local Administration and Environment, “Head of the Supreme Relief Committee” Eng. Louay Kharita discussed with the Venezuelan Ambassador to Syria Jose Gregorio Biomorgi Musatis and the accompanying delegation ways of joint cooperation and mechanisms for distributing Venezuelan humanitarian relief aid (medicine and food) provided to Syria to support its efforts in responding to arrivals from brotherly Lebanon due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.
Minister Kharita stressed the historical relations between the two countries and the Syrian and Venezuelan peoples and reviewed the emergency response and support provided by the government to facilitate procedures for the arrivals and provide relief and food aid according to the mechanism adopted by the government.
The Ambassador Musatis stressed that Syria and Venezuela share deep historical relations and a constant endeavor to consolidate friendship relations between the two countries.
Regarding the Venezuelan aid, Musatis explained that it comes to support the efforts of the Syrian government in its emergency response to the Lebanese arrivals who were received by Syria and provided with all their needs
