Syria Vehemently Condemns Coward Terror Attack against Worshippers in Egypt’s Sinai Mosque

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria has condemned the horrible massacre committed by terrorist groups against worshippers in al-Rawdah Mosque in Egypt’s Sinai that claimed the lives of at least 200 innocent people.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement to SANA that Syria expresses its deep condolences to the  families of the victims and to the brotherly people of Egypt, renewing its strong determination to fight terrorism.

“Syria reiterates that the crimes committed by terrorist groups in Syria and Egypt and in other areas of the Arab homeland are similar to each other in terms of perpetrators and goals and it affirms the need to unify the efforts of all countries in confrontation of the foreign-backed terrorism that targets the present and future of our Arab nation,” the source added.

“Syria also stresses that the pressure put by certain countries on the Arab league to issue a decision that falsely accuses some parties, forces and countries, which formed a leading front against terrorism, was a wrong behavior and a misleading act aiming to protect the terrorists of Daesh and Jabhat al-Nusra as well as the Moslem Brotherhood gangs  and to encourage them perpetrate more terrorist acts against innocent people,” the went on to say.
