Syria: US Occupation, Its Affiliated Terrorist Groups Fully Responsible for Humanitarian Disaster in Rukban Refugee Camp

DAMASCUS, (ST)- An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates  has stressed that the American occupation and its tools are fully responsible for the humanitarian disaster the displaced Syrians in al-Rukban refugee camp are experiencing.

“Syria again holds the American occupation and its tools, which have been preventing by force and threats the displaced Syrian citizens from leaving al-Rukban refugee camp and returning home, fully responsible for the humanitarian disaster those Syrians are experiencing,” the source said in a statement to SANA.

The US occupation forces and its affiliated terrorist groups keep blocking the refugees’ return despite the safe corridors opened in coordination between the Syrian government and the Russian side to facilitate the voluntary departure of the refugees from the camp, the source added.

“Starting for its keenness on the interests of its citizens, Syria renews its call on all the Syrians in al-Rukban refugee camp to return to their original residence areas in their cities, villages and towns, said the source, noting that the Syrian state will provide all requirements necessary to transfer those citizens from the camp to their original residence places.
