Syria- UNICEF Cooperation Boosted

Remarkable relations between UNICEF and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and civil society organizations, and ways of expanding  them to cover humanitarian, health and developmental areas were discussed on Sunday between Minister of State for Syrian Arab Red Crescent  Affairs Joseph Sweed  and   UNICEF Representative  in Syria Yusuf Abdul Jalil

The Minister pointed to the material and logistical support provided by the government for the Red Crescent Society to enable  perform its tasks   relief  health  activities and other undertaken duties,  stressing the need to strengthen cooperation  opportunities between the Syrian Red Crescent and UNICEF in other areas.

Abdul Jalil praised the efforts of the Syrian government in supporting UNICEF activities in Syria and in coordinating with Syrian sides concerned with UNICEF’s work areas.
