Syria, Turkey to enhance cooperation in the field of economy

Minister of Trade and Industry Mohammad Nidal Al-Sha’ar met with his Turkish counterpart, Ömer Bolat.

The two sides discussed means of enhancing cooperation in economic development and strengthening relations between the two countries.

Turkish Minister of Economy Omer Bolat said: Our delegation comprised 

Representatives from ministries including transportation, economic institutions, civil society, chambers of commerce and industry, and the contractors’ union, to contribute to building a free Syria.

He added: “We will contribute to building a new Syria in the fields of industry, trade, and energy, and we will strive to develop them to achieve a stable Syria.

The Turkish Minister stressed ” We will focus on developing trade between the two countries, establishing free zones, and cooperating in the field of customs.

“Consultations will be held to conclude a full partnership agreement between Syria and Turkey”, he added.

Bolat  said “We want to develop the transportation sector in Syria and establish industrial cities. There will also be visits and mutual contacts with the private sector
