Syria, Turkey discuss supporting medical facilities
The Health Supervisor of Aleppo and Idlib, Dr. Samer Arabi, and the Director of Health of Aleppo, Dr. Mazen Al-Haj Rahmon, held a meeting with the Head of the Turkish Consulate and doctors from the Turkish Ministry of Health.
During the meeting, they discussed the health sector’s needs in Aleppo and the necessity of supporting and restoring medical facilities to serve a larger segment of the population. Following the meeting, Dr. Samer Arabi conducted a field tour with the Head of the Turkish Consulate and the accompanying team to assess the condition of some health facilities on the ground.
The Turkish government pledged to work on operating a new hospital in the city as soon as possible, offering comprehensive services, particularly in the field of cancer treatment through radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
