Syria, Turkey discuss bilateral cooperation in various energy sectors

Minister of Energy, Eng. Mohammad Al-Bashir, Discussed today with the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Alparslan Bayraktar bilateral cooperation in various energy sectors.

During the meeting held in Istanbul, the two sides explored ways to enhance their partnership in both conventional and renewable energy fields, in addition to exchanging technical and engineering expertise and examining joint investment opportunities in energy infrastructure projects.

Both ministers emphasized the importance of continued coordination and collaboration to serve mutual interests, strengthen regional energy security, and open new avenues for cooperation in research, development, and technology transfer.

The meeting comes ahead of the Istanbul Natural Resources Summit, a high-level international platform bringing together decision-makers and experts in the energy sector.
