Syria, Tunisia to enhance cooperation in the security field

Damascus, (ST) –  Major General Mohammed Al-Rahmoun Minister of Interior discussed on Wednesday with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia to Syria, Muhammad bin Al-Bashir Al-Mahdhabi the joint cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, especially in security issues.

Minister Al-Rahmoun affirmed that the Ministry of Interior is keen to take care of the interests of the Tunisian community in Syria. “It seeks to provide all facilities for Tunisian citizens residing in Syria and to address their situation”, he said.

The Minister of Interior pointed out that the relations between the two brotherly countries are deep and rooted. He pointed to the importance of continuing to develop and strengthen them in various fields, in a way that contributes to overcoming the current challenges.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Mahdhabi affirmed that he will make every effort to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries, for the benefit and interest of the two brotherly peoples.
