Syria, Tunis to develop cooperation and trade exchange relations

Damascus, (ST) – The meeting held by Assistant Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Samer Soussi with a Tunisian delegation discussed ways to develop cooperation and trade exchange relations between the two countries.

During the meeting at the ministry building with the delegation that included Hisham Naji, the trade representative in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, and Majdi Al-Dhaheri, the diplomat in charge of bilateral cooperation affairs at the Tunisian Embassy in Damascus, Soussi presented the difficulties and obstacles that hinder joint cooperation, and provide all facilities that would advance work.

It was also agreed to follow up on work to activate what is agreed upon directly to achieve results on the ground, and to continue bilateral meetings.

In turn, Naji stressed the Tunisian side’s keenness to strengthen economic relations and develop trade exchange with Syria, and raise them to the level of brotherly relations, noting Syria’s positions on the Arab and international levels in all fields.
