Syria takes part in World Robotics Olympiad competitions in Panama

PANAMA, Nov.7, (ST)- Syria is taking part in the World Robotics Olympiad competitions that kicked off today with the participation of 450 teams from 80 countries.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority said in a statement published by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the Syrian Scientific Olympiad is participating with two teams, the Robot Task Competition team for the senior category from the National Center for Excellence, represented by Agheid Bassam Jaafar, Hadi Hassan Baddour, Hashem Hossam Salhab, the coach Ward Hamad Al-Khatib, and the Al-Manara University team, who is represented by Salman Ahmed Daher, Ammar Waseem Daher, Mudar Yasser Ibrahim, and coach Jaafar Younis Mayya.

The authority indicated that the Syrian scientific expertise in robotics takes part in the competitions of this Olympiad, through Dr. Mohib Al-Naqri, Chairman of the Scientific Committee for Robotic Sciences at the Authority for Excellence and Creativity, and Dr. Muhannad Makki and Dr. Muthanna Al-Qabaili, members of the Scientific Committee, who were chosen among the international arbitration committees in these finals.

The competition will last until the 9th of this month
