Syria takes part in the International Book Fair in Bucharest

BUCHAREST, JUN.1, (ST)-The  International Book Fair kicked off in the Romanian capital, Bucharest, with the participation of Syria.

The Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Romania participates in the  fair through showing a collection of books about archaeological and historical monuments in Syria, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency added that the embassy also participates in activities being held on the sidelines of the fair that celebrate Arab poetry and the introduction to Arab civilization throughout history.

The Syrian pavilion witnessed a remarkable turnout of visitors to see the books being shown there on  archaeological and historical monuments in Syria, which was the cradle of civilizations and religions.

Annually, the book fair is organized  in Bucharest with the  participation of accredited embassies in Romania and a large number of publishing, houses throughout Romania, in addition to presenting the most important Romanian and foreign writers who publish important literary and cultural works.
