Moscow, (ST) -The annual International Moscow World Food Exhibition was opened yesterday with the participation of Syrian producers and exporters.
More than 1,700 Russian and foreign companies from 72 countries from different continents of the world are participating in the in the four-day Exhibition. The exhibition receives businessmen and professionals in the food industry, agricultural products, workers in the trade and economic sectors.
Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Dr. Riad Haddad, during a meeting with businessmen and exporters Syrian participation in the exhibition, underline the importance of enhancing the Syrian-Russian relations in all areas, including the economic, trade and other domains, referring to the reality of the Russian market features in this area and the wide boom received of Syrian products in this market, despite the difficulties.
Dr. Haddad said the Syrian participation in this event proves its presence on the international scene, especially here in the Russian Federation, “pointing out that the embassy to overcome all the obstacles facing Syrian companies participating in these exhibitions in cooperation with the joint Syrian -Russian Economic Commission.
President of the Food Committee at the Syrian Federation of Exporters described the participation in the exhibition as good due to the presence of a lot of international companies.
